Terms and Conditions/Terms of Rental

General information
The rented equipment is in accordance with the terms and conditions of the Rental Agreement.

Please carefully read these Terms and Conditions (hereinafter referred to as the “Terms of Rental”), which you acknowledge that you have become aware of and will endeavor to comply with them by signing the Rental Agreement, or by accepting the checkbox field in the checkout “I agree to the Terms of Service, Privacy Policy and Cancellation policy of the order *” at the booking page www. ebikemoen.dk/booking-page/

2. Specific requirements for equipment rental
Age: The minimum age for signing the contract is 18 years.
Evidence of Identity: The person who rents the equipment must Have proof of his or her real identity e.g., a valid passport or a valid identity document. The photo document must be identifiable. A copy of the document presented or a photograph will be made which will be destroyed when the equipment is returned under the conditions specified in the contract and in good working order without damage.

3. Deposit. E-bike and e-scooter rentals must be credit card protected. We can do this by card pre-authorization, payment in cash, or credit/debit card at the delivery location.
Pre-authorization of the card and cash deposit is not a payment or charge, but a retention of the funds until the rented equipment is returned. The deposit amount will be released in full if the returned equipment is in good working order and does not show signs of damage to the inspection of eBikeMoen Rental personnel. When booking online. To secure the products, a security deposit will automatically be reserved as a cover reservation from your payment card latest 24 hours before the booking starts, and released after the booking has ended.

If the equipment is damaged, lost, or stolen, a part of, or the whole of the total warranty coverage will be charged. If the warranty/pre-authorization is insufficient to cover the damages produced, the customer agrees to allow eBikeMoen Rental and its staff to withdraw the amount necessary to cover these costs from the card.

4. Services offered. Rent period. Damage, theft.
a) As suppliers of rental services, we provide you as a client our equipment and you as a client agree to rent our equipment hereinafter referred to as “Rental Equipment” through the service subject to the terms and conditions and in accordance with rental charges available and available on our website or at the rental office

b) Cancellation policy of the booking order.

  • Cancel latest 48 hours prior booking: 100% refund
  • Less than 48 hours: No refund

c) The rental period. You agree to pledge the equipment and pay the full amount of the services for the entire period included in the Rental Agreement. You understand and agree that the purpose of the service is to provide short-term access (between 1 and 30 days) to the equipment we rent. If you think you will be late, please let us know. If the equipment is not returned at the agreed date and time and we have not been notified, it means that you have violated the Rental Agreement. We allow a grace period of 30 minutes from the set time. Delays beyond the grace period will be charged to DKK 75.- per hour or a fraction of an hour. Any unpaid equipment rented within 5 hours of the time it was due to be returned and for which you did not notify the delay in advance will be deemed stolen or lost and the competent authorities will be notified. We will take steps to find and recover any equipment for which no delay has been reported, including reporting this to the police. Also, you will have to pay all the costs of the non-return, signing the Rental Agreement, and you are giving us permission to do so through the service subject to the terms and conditions and in accordance with rental charges available and available on our website or at the rental office.

d) Damage. Theft. Loss. Clients take full responsibility for caring for the rented equipment during the rental period.
In case of technical failure. In case of technical failures requiring immediate or rapid intervention, please contact us before making any repairs except tires. For tire repair, you will receive a repair kit and a bicycle pump. In the event of damage of rented equipment, you will need to immediately return any damaged equipment or we will assist with a pickup if it is not possible to return it in safe conditions. If the equipment is damaged, you will be charged the cost of repairing the damage at our discretion when the damage is reported to you or discovered by us. Amounts due for damaged rental equipment will be debited in cash or on the credit/debit card associated with your account, up to a maximum of DKK 20,000 per item or equivalent in local currency.
In case of theft/loss. If the equipment is stolen or lost during the rental period, you will need to contact us and then report the theft or lost equipment to the nearest police or competent authorities. You will reward us if the equipment is stolen or lost during the rental period. Amounts due to damaged, stolen or lost rental equipment will be debited in cash or on the credit/debit card associated with your account, up to a maximum of DKK 20,000 per item or equivalent in local currency

IMPORTANT! If any rental equipment is stolen, lost or damaged, you are required to pay all eBikeMoen Rental charges due for the theft, loss or damage to equipment the market price of such equipment or service, whether your insurance travel or other type of insurance covers these costs or not.

e) By signing the Rental Agreement, or by accepting the checkbox field in the checkout “I agree to the Terms of Service, Privacy Policy and Cancellation policy of the order *” at the booking page www. ebikemoen.dk/booking-page/

 you authorize eBikeMoen Rental and it’s staff to debit your credit or debit card for all commissions and amounts due in respect of any damaged, stolen or lost equipment and we may, at our discretion, from your credit card to cover these amounts. If you dispute any tax in your account, then you must contact us within ten (10) days of receipt of your statement containing the tax in dispute.

5. Warning. Insurance. Assuming liability, risk and compensation
With respect to your rental and use of any services provided by eBikeMoen Rental, you are free and willing to declare that you are responsible to yourself and to your spouse, children, parents, guardians, heirs, relatives, and any legal or personal representatives, executors, administrators, successors and empowered persons, or anyone else who may claim or sue you on your behalf, as follows:

a) Recognize and assume all risks of participating in this rental.
You know that the use of an electric bicycle / electric scooter can be dangerous and involves the potential for mild or serious bodily injuries, permanent disability, paralysis, death, and/or other material damage and loss.
You acknowledge and agree by signing the Rental Agreement that it is your responsibility to determine if you are sufficiently prepared and sufficiently healthy to rent and use safely the equipment you have rented that you choose voluntarily.
By signing the Rental Agreement you will assume liability and confirm that you have no physical or medical issue that would endanger you or others or interfere with your ability to safely use rented equipment. You also certify that you have not been advised by any healthcare professional to take part in cycling or any other activity related to the services provided by eBikeMoen Rental.

You understand and recognize that there may be road and vehicle traffic. You assume all other risks associated with the rental of equipment, including without limitation: Falls; dangers of collision with vehicles, pedestrians, and fixed objects; the dangers generated by the surface type, the failure of designing the equipment, and the inappropriate safety equipment; the dangers generated by vehicles, pedestrians and other cyclists; and weather conditions.
You also acknowledge that these risks include risks that could be the result of mistakes and/or the design of the equipment provided, or negligence, omissions, and/or negligence of EBikeMoen Rental (owner, team, etc.). You understand that you are using and using the services provided by eBikeMoen Rental at your own risk, that you are responsible for all risks incurred, and that your rental is fully voluntary.

b) You have been advised to wear a helmet while using your equipment (bicycle, kick scooter). You understand and recognize the increased risk of bodily injury, permanent disability, paralysis, and death due to lack of use of the helmet. You assume responsibility for any injury, loss, or damage associated with your choice not to wear a helmet; in addition, since the helmet does not protect against all head injuries and protects against other injuries, you take responsibility for any injury, loss, or damage associated with the rental, even if you choose to wear a helmet.

c) You understand that although certain routes/routes have been suggested or recommended by eBikeMoen Rental, there are dangers that may arise along or near such routes that you have not been warned about and you agree that E-Bike Rent and its employees assume no responsibility for any warnings or other protection activities against any hazards you may encounter on these routes or elsewhere. The respective routes are not eBikeMoen Rental property, so eBikeMoen Rental does not deal with their arrangement or maintenance. You are responsible and voluntarily choose to follow or not the respective routes and thus undertake any incident or accident in which you are involved.

6. Dispute resolution
By using eBikeMoen Rental services, you agree to resolve any claim you may have against eBikeMoen Rental, its representatives, subsidiaries, and affiliates (including, without limitation) under this dispute settlement agreement-

8. Unacceptable behaviors

We have the right to refuse your rental if you or someone else in your group behaves unacceptably. For example, he/she uses the equipment for non-recreational purposes; he/she is under the influence of alcohol or drugs; he/she is not complying with traffic rules; or any other behavior considered unacceptable by EbikeMoen Rental personnel at its sole discretion.

9. Privacy policy
By making the reservation, you agree and explicitly accept the processing of your personal data under the conditions imposed by law. More details on the processing of personal data can be found in the document called Privacy Policy on the site.
We will use your personal data for the following purposes:
– Booking process
– Performing identity and bank account verification
– To maintain and improve the administration and management of our services
– Marketing
